“Keep Me” – Jeff Draco

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JEFF DRACO ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM EXCESS,SHARES NEW SINGLE, “KEEP ME”

March 18, 2026 – Washington, D.C.-based indie-pop singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and artist Jeff Draco returns today with a new single, “Keep Me,” and announces his sophomore album, Excess, will be independently released on Friday, May 15th. “Keep Me” is available now on all streaming platforms. Listen HERE

On “Keep Me,” Draco delves deeper into the heavier themes and sounds pulsing through the album’s lead single, “Excess.” Centered on self-reflection, growth, and the shifting tides of his relationships, “Keep Me” recounts the unraveling of a bond, with the refrain “I wanted you to try / To keep me as your destination” rattling through with regret and longing. Building on the hardcore-inspired alt-pop melody, Draco’s voice floats effortlessly as he continues to reveal chapters of a volatile period in his life and the stunning and forward-thinking album that emerged from that experience.

His most personal and ambitious project to date, Excess, expands on the artistic growth captured on his 2024 EP, Attitude, but beyond the matured songwriting and perspective, this album is Jeff Draco falling deeply for the creative process all over again. From days spent alone at the piano revisiting songs from his early college years to weeks in-studio with the album’s lead co-producer, Grant Claytor, the album is an amalgamation of Draco’s past few years in all senses, with the palette of genres fused throughout spanning from the dreamier alt pop he’s become known for along with sounds that prove Draco is not interested in remaining in a single lane.

Excess is Jeff Draco’s first album since 2018, when he was a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park, and just starting his solo project after years of playing in various bands with friends and family.

Even then, Draco’s songwriting and craftsmanship demonstrated immense promise, with songs like “Don’t Keep Me Waiting Around” and “Angie” becoming longtime fan favorites and staples in his live sets. He has since played festivals like Firefly, performed concerts throughout the U.S. East Coast, and achieved 2 million streams.

Out now, “Keep Me” and “Excess” are the first glimpses into the world of Excess, an album that started coming together as Draco reminisced on past demos and started drawing inspiration for his next full-length project. Available on Friday, May 15th, the album is Draco’s first definitive full statement, with a self-assured clarity he’s been building toward as both a storyteller and producer. About Jeff Draco

Jeff Draco is a D.C.-based indie-pop artist known for dreamy, nostalgia-laced songwriting wrapped in thoughtfully-crafted production. On May 15, 2026, he returns with his sophomore album, Excess

Draco sharpened his vision on 2024’s Attitude (released September 13), a focused evolution of jangly guitars, ethereal synths, and candid storytelling—mixed and mastered by Record of the Year GRAMMY-winning engineer Patrick Kehrier (Alex Warren, Dua Lipa). Notion noted Draco “shines with introspective lyricism and lush production,” while Earmilk called the project his “boldest chapter yet.” The EP arrived after a run of fan-favorite releases, including the indie cult classic “Dreamgirl,” a staple in Draco’s catalog that helped define the romantic, restless glow at the center of his sound.

Attitude followed his 2022 EP Freezing in Hollywood and two widely praised 2023 singles: “Letters,” which premiered during his lauded 9:30 Club debut performance, and “Never Gonna Be The Same,” released alongside an eight-date headlining tour. As “one of D.C.’s most popular indie-pop artists” (Washington City Paper), Draco is “on track to become the next household name” (The Luna Collective). With momentum building around his live performances, Draco continues to deliver indie pop that captures both the introspective and carefree spirit of the genre with a voice that feels immediate and unmistakably his.
