A song about embracing the highs as well as the lows, Tommy and The Ghost has released his brand new single “Always & Forever” available everywhere now. Tommy and The Ghost is a solo project done by Tommy Bergstrom. The singer does not work completely solo though, his partner is nicknamed “The Ghost” and he works on the bass and drums of the tracks. Tommy and the Ghost are a Swedish duo, and this is just the start for the band.
Right from the beginning “Always & Forever” feels like it is right out of a movie soundtrack. The band shared they were very inspired by film scores while writing, and this grand sound would fit perfectly in a coming-of-age film. Bergstrom’s voice is nothing but passion, the rasp in his voice is intentional and powerful. It’s clear the band is built for this genre.
The production is nothing but majestic and beautiful. An example of one of their standout lyrics is “I am more out of breath / I’m not done / And then the sky opened up / and I presented myself to the sun.” The visuals in the lyrics are breathtaking and tie in brilliantly with the triumphant feeling. Excitement is an understatement for what music comes out next.
When asked what the song means to him, Tommy Bergstrom shared, “Always & Forever is about life’s ups and downs. How we cope with darkness, and how that spark of light always is there. Without the downs the ups mean nothing, We are the masters of our fate. We are the ones who decide how we are going to react to life.”
